WOYWW Jan 28- Al(most)l You Need Is Love...da da da da da!

I believe if everyone in the world said I love you to everyone they met everyday
Peace and Kindness would be declared.
So I bless that we have at least one day a year when this is acceptable behavior.
I found those little silver holders in the thrift shop 25cents! US.
If you want more detail hop

Off to spread some love around the desking community!

Love- T is for Tuesday

If I get any further behind, I'll be caught up!
Blame it on my trip out west,
{the smiling face thingy is a tiny brush to clean your key board- CHA swag}
or any of a dozen excuses.
The cup- filled with camomile tea- came to me for Christmas.
Two dear summer fairies, peeking out at me, saying,
"We love you Robyn".
You will not hear me bad mouthing the internet when such wondrous things are made of it!

Further goings on at Casa Rainbow can be found
including digital cutting tips, more valentines and names of those luckier than you who won a Quietfire Design Stamp by leaving a comment.

So leave me a comment
 (RAK can occur)
as I hop over to T is for Tuesday to catch up on drinking and eating around the world!
I might be a bit lax in visiting this week, as the energy company is planning to cut the electric Tuesday 9-4!

Gorgeous cards, all of them! How you come up with these while being jet-lagged, I am so amazed! :-) I love the hand drawn elements, which make the card extra special. Thanks for sharing!
Please message me in the next 48 hours with your mailing info.
(My email is in my Google Profile in the Right sidebar)
My gift to you all today is more love  in additional cards for inspiration and
My best digital cutting tips.

The future is uncertain. Die cut with glitter using Ken Olivers Stick-it- coming soon.
Suzanne asked us to show more insides in 2015!

My first love ATC's and my new love the Bow - it -all!

I'm getting a lot of questionson how to best cut the delicate Quietfire Design digital cuts.
  • Use the best quality paper. Neenah Classic Crest 80 lb, sometimes 65 is my fave.
  • Take it slow! Relax, don't rush in general and slow down your cutting speed to 2.
  • Hold on to your mats as long as you can. Having mats with various stickiness gives you more options. If you cut into one, repair it with packing tape. I've had my machine 2+ years and am still using my original mats.
  • Less is more. Use sharp blades and the lowest cutting number that gives you a clean cut. ALWAYS make a test cut. Hold the blade next to your paper on the mat to guesstimate the blade depth.
  • Press down on the most delicate/intricate areas on the mat, before you start to weed. This might sound counterproductive, and I find it helps a lot. Just press down with your finger, then remove all of the outer paper.
  • Take it slow, relax and get a great tool for lifting . The one from Silhouette is pretty good, and I use a tiny spatula, that I think came in one of my kids dissecting kits!. The thinner the better and flexible is good to. You can also bend the mat to help release delicate areas.
May 2015 be a year of unlimited creativity!

Quietfire Design Queen of Hearts Blog Hop- Day four-Have a heart that never hardens

Welcome to the Quietfire Design,
 Queen of Hearts Blog Hop!
Be sure to leave a comment here for the drawing to win Quietfire Design Stamps!
All details at the end of the post.

Returning from CHA Mega Trade Show, jet lagged and super swagged,
It was hard to get back to blog hop deadlines.
My DT sisters have amazed you the past three days with flawless, jaw dropping cards
and home decor.
Here are some cards for the rest of us!
Swaps..I love them... NOTE TO SELF!
You have to make multiples
and mail them.
This is what I call a 15 minute wonder.
I can make multiples of these for swaps easy peasy!
Starting with the Silhouette file Open Heart Border Card
ungroup and scale down to an A2 size card
and cut from patterned paper.
Stamp Have a heart in VersaFine Crimson and thermal emboss clear,
add a glitzy heart and that's it!
With a  a few minutes left I added panels to the inside,
the paper was on my desk, inked from leftover ink on the craft mat,
and stamped.
The swap hostess deserves a little extra, so I added a hand drawn border and
painted accents with Twinkling H2O's.
A bit of stenciling inside.
For a special someone
same card, same stamps
layers to to the rescue.
The glitter was added with Ken Oliver's, Stick-it. A layer was added to both sides of the paper before I cut it out  and the Glitter Ritz adhered easily for a luxe look.

BREAKING!
The new LOVE Fill 'er Up stamps arrived in the mail Tuesday afternoon, and I just had to make something in time for todays post.

Queen of Hearts (no tarts) Blog hop-Yes Virginia, there is a Chia Pet!-T is for Tuesday

You know you've always wanted one, and this is the first one I have ever seen up close and personal!
Shout out to Brooke! for growing and nurturing and Chris for being such an amazing Mom to actually buy it!
I've been away, and I can tell you, there is no place like home.
California was crazy.
It made me feel tired and lazy!
I guess I was jet lagged, and it felt more like sleeping sickness.
The best part of the trip was visiting family in  San Francisco and eating same.

DD and I went to Cha-Ya on Valencia St
a Vegan Japanese place inspired by Zen cooking.

Salads
Fresh, attractive and delicious!
(we drank water)

Senroppon Salad

Shredded salad. shredded daikon, turnip, cucumber, and carrots, garnished with atsuage tofu, radishes, soybeans,
kaiware sprouts, soy-vinagarette dressing.

Shira Ae

Hangetsu

 Very interesting! and delicious.
We were so full we forgot to order dessert!
The total tab only came to $25- very low by West Coast standards.

Off to Anaheim and the Craft Hobby Association Trade show.
Anaheim is a food desert!
There was plenty of unhealthy food to snack on at events and LOTS to drink.
Local Local

Asheville local- the world is our community
and how about some paper art Sushi?
If I ever get caught up, I tell you more about the trip, and for now it's time to travel via blog
with T is for Tuesday.
OH- almost forgot.
